This year marks the 5th anniversary of the Tujia and Miao Cultural Ecological Reserve in Wuling Mountain Area.
Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture launched the Micro-video Competition with the theme of “Mysterious Xiangxi and Colorful Intangible Cultural Heritage” from April 20 to May 25, aiming to record the stories related to intangible cultural heritage and showcase the splendid folk culture of Xiangxi.
Xiangxi Prefecture is a treasure trove of intangible cultural heritage, with national intangible cultural heritage projects accounting for one third of the total in Hunan. It has taken the lead in establishing the national cultural and ecological reserve in the province. In the overall protection, active inheritance, and productive transformation of intangible cultural heritage, it has made efforts to promote the deep integration of intangible cultural heritage with regional tourism and rural revitalization.
The competition is open to individuals and groups, with its contents involving folk literature, traditional music, traditional drama, traditional art, folk customs, quyi, traditional skills, traditional dances, traditional sports and acrobatics, traditional medicine and other forms of intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance.
A hashtag “Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Cultural Ecological Reserve” need to be added to the title of an original video to be released on Tiktok, Wechat Video Channel, Microblog and Kuaishou.
The outstanding contestants will have the opportunity to become the publicity ambassador and online recommender of the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Cultural and Ecological Reserve.
